Our Affiliates work under the clinical governance and management of SCCH Consulting where SCCH is contracted to deliver high quality Health Psychology Therapeutic Services across a range of clinical specialities and in collaboration with the local multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Consultant Health Psychologist
I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Health Psychologist and am a Partner/Owner of SCCH Consulting. I am a senior experienced Consultant Health Psychologist offering outpatient services via skype sessions and providing psychological treatment and support for people living with long-term conditions, in particular cardiac and respiratory illnesses (after a heart attack, COPD, Emphysema, Asthma) and breast, lung and oesophageal cancers. I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and use this highly recognised therapeutic treatment to improve individuals’ emotional adjustment and coping to their illness and treatments and self-management of symptoms and their condition. My background has been managing and delivering NHS and private healthcare services with cardiothoracic and kidney transplantation and supporting individuals recovering from surgery, managing complex medicines, making lifestyle changes and returning to work.

I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Health Psychologist practicing as an Affiliate in SCCH Consulting's Health Psychology Service. I offer outpatient (face to face and skype) assessments and therapeutic treatments to people referred for bariatric surgery and more broadly to people with long term health conditions and chronic pain. I have particular interest in adjustment to physical injury and illness including where there are concurrent post traumatic stress reactions. I also have a background in working in acquired brain injury services. I have experience of providing psychological services within the voluntary sector, NHS and independent practice.

I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Health Psychologist practicing as an Affiliate in SCCH Consulting’s Health Psychology Service. I offer a outpatient service via skype sessions during week day evenings and Saturdays, providing psychological assessment and therapeutic treatments for people living with long-term conditions. I specialise in working with individuals after a stroke, wanting to make lifestyle changes and living with chronic pain. My focus is on promoting emotional adjustment and quality of life following diagnosis and surgery. My background has been working in acquired brain injury services, both in military and civilian settings and working with individuals with cognitive impairments.

I am chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) practising as an Affiliate in SCCH Consulting’s Health Psychology Service. I offer an outpatient therapy service via Skype sessions or in face-to-face settings, providing psychological assessment and evidence-based therapeutic treatments to support individuals in their adjustment to living with long-term conditions and disability.
I am based in Edinburgh with over 14 years in the NHS helping people change behaviour, manage stress (and distress) and improve quality of life, with particular experience in adjustment to chronic pain, diabetes, cardiac-related diagnosis and limb amputation. I have also worked extensively in training multi-disciplinary staff (Medics, nurses, physiotherapists etc) in psychological skills, and have coordinated and supervised the training of Health Psychologists at NHS Education Scotland.
No two people are the same therefore I tailor the focus and duration of treatment to individuals’ needs and preferences. I draw on a range of evidenced-based health psychology models and therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and, mindfulness, compassion and acceptance-based therapies, to support anyone looking to improve their own health and lifestyle and better adjust to living with a physical illness or disability.

I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Health Psychologist and am a Partner/Owner of SCCH Consulting. I am a senior experienced Consultant Health Psychologist having lead and delivered Psychology Services within the NHS for eight years. I offer outpatient services via skype sessions and provide psychological treatment and support for people who are looking to improve their health and wellbeing e.g. stopping smoking and addressing addictions, optimising their living experience of long-term conditions e.g. coping with pain and adjusting lifestyles. My background has been working in community settings, providing tailored services for people with complex long-term conditions, people who have recently experienced acute health incidents to those who are generally well but wanting to make improvements to their lifestyle. I apply the health psychology evidence base of health psychology with techniques such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to enhance outcomes and goals for my clients.

I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Counselling Psychologist and an integrative psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) practicing as an Affiliate in SCCH Consulting’s Health Psychology Service. I have worked in various settings including the NHS, charitable organisations and private medical centres in London and across Kent for over thirteen years, applying psychological and therapeutic principles to support individuals in dealing with psychological and physical health challenges. I have worked with adults, adolescents and families experiencing a wide variety of issues including depression, bereavement, stress, anxiety, addiction and relationship difficulties. In addition to working in community-based services, outpatient and acute inpatient mental health settings I have extensive experience of working within specialised healthcare services supporting individuals in managing major life transitions following bariatric surgery and/or health related difficulties.

I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Health Psychologist practicing as an Affiliate in SCCH Consulting’s Health Psychology Service. I offer outpatient (telephone, skype and face-to-face) consultancy providing assessment and therapeutic intervention for people living with long-term conditions (e.g. diabetes, cancer, fibromyalgia, post-stroke care and ME). Additionally, I provide psychological health interventions to professionals from UK Fire and Rescue services, A & E Consultants, and General Practitioners. My background has been working in community settings delivering groups (pain-management, stress management, promoting healthy behaviour and lifestyles), and more recently in independent practice.
Having had training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) I apply evidence base health psychology models in combination with mindfulness, compassion and acceptance based approaches, which promotes effective support for people to improve their own health and lifestyles. I have experience in service development, as part of an NHS and DWP initiative, which successfully supported people with long-term conditions return to work-related activities. I also have experience of providing psychological services to parents providing practical guidance to help manage stressful common problems and promote resilience in children. I am also a visiting lecturer at the University of Derby for the MSc Health Psychology students.
